On June the 3rd, we had a webinar together with Wish that focused on Wish and their new targeting audience – European sellers! We have summarized the webinar in this article.
Many of you may connect Wish with Chinese sellers, however, in the last few years, Wish has totally changed its focus and business idea. Their current focus is to highlight European sellers (especially those who can deliver within 5-10 days) and give them more priority and extra exposure. To get rid of another prejudice about Wish, they do sell branded products. There are several branded products on Wish at this moment, some examples of these brands are Samsung, Loréal, Guess, Puma, Dove, Disney, and many more. Branded products also get extra exposure, and a lot of customers choose brands before non-branded products.
How many of you know that Wish is the leading mobile commerce platform in the US and EU and that their app has 7,8 million reviews and still has a 4.5/5 score which is a better score than eBay, AliExpress, and Amazon! They rank as number #1 Shopping app on Google Play Store and #2 on Apple’s App Store. No wonder 90 % of their interactions are via mobile.
To prove how big and powerful Wish is, 1.8 million items are sold DAILY and the marketplace is active in more than 100 countries.
Wish’s target is both men and women, the division is 40/60. Their main audience is females below the age of 30 and they have an average scroll of 10/day.
The marketplace has a unique algorithm that matches the right products to their customers. Hence it’s not surprising that 70 % of their transactions take place without a search query. The customer’s feed will be personalized as soon as they engage with products.
When you connect with Wish via Sello you will get your own account manager from Wish who together with Sello’s onboarding managers will help you get started. You will also get a boost from day 1. Meaning, Wish will provide you with extra exposure until the algorithm finds you and provide your products with a high ranking.
You will also have the chance to get free marketing, i.e. if you get in touch with Wish regarding marketing, your products may get the opportunity to be seen on banners or their social media platforms.
But perhaps the most important and most beneficial thing, you will not have to pay a startup fee, nor will you have to pay the 15% commission for the first 3 months. When you integrate to Wish via Sello you will only have to pay a 5 % commission fee for 3 months. After these 3 months, there is also a big chance that you will still be able to pay less than 15%. And if you aren’t already aware of it, or if you have forgotten it, Sello does not take charge of orders coming from Wish.
In addition to the above-mentioned, you won’t get any fines when using Sello for Wish. If you would get a fine by accident, just contact your account manager at Wish and he/she will help you.
